Emma is 2!
Miss Emma turned 2 at the end of May! It's so amazing how much they grow. I've said this all along but she is my cuddle bug. She copies everything Rileigh does and loves her big sissy so much. Emma is in love with shoes and has been from the time she put them on. We had her party at a Jumpy place and she was scared to death so she opted to play with the train table her entire party. She was SO into opening her gifts. Her favorite gift was a baby Cinderella doll that she has not put down since she got it. Here are some pictures from her party. I'm going to try my hardest to be better about blogging!

New Pace of Life/Insurance
For those of you you who do not know I started a new job back in March. YES I'M FINALLY NOT WORKING RETAIL! I now work for Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Sales Agent. I now can be home at night with my family, weekends and holidays and it has been wonderful! This job keeps me very busy and I do bring quite of bit of it home but is very rewarding. Many of you probably think Insurance is very boring, but now that I understand it, I've realized how important it is. Myself like most people used to just call my insurance agent up and "trust" they were insuring me properly. The company I work for Liberty Mutual prides themselves on their customers service, which means a lot to me coming from a strong customer service background. It is a Fortune 100 company and rated excellent in customer service and claims. If you live in Georgia and are interested in getting a free auto, home or life quote please let me know. I would love to spend some time reviewing your insurance....God forbid if you had an accident or a loss I want to make sure you and your family are properly covered. My website is www.libertymutual.com/katieraftelis

Finally an update
So I apologize for being so behind on my blogging. A lot is going on in the Raftelis household. I got a new job! No more retail! Praise the Lord. Starting next week I will be employed with Liberty Mutual Insurance. Please pray for our family on this next journey of our life. This new job with allow me to be at home more with my family which I am so excited about. Scott is doing well, softball is starting up again so we know what he has been doing! Here is an update on the girls.
Rileigh is such a sweet, smart, funny, loving little girl with a HUGE heart. We finally found a church we like and she has been enjoying going to Sunday school. She asks us to read her "Bible book" every night. I must say she is a very inquisitive little 3 year old. We hear the word "why" about a million times a day. She keeps Scott and I laughing constantly with her funny little dances, facial expressions and questions. Here are some pics I took of her today. Since the weather is starting to warm up we've been able to get a lot of outside time in.

Miss Emma with be 2 in a couple months. Where does time go? She is such a little cutie! She has the prettiest hair and the chunkiest cheeks. Everywhere we go people comment on her checks and hair! She is talking so much now putting 3 and 4 words together. Her favorite phrase is "Sissy not nice"! Rileigh and her get a long pretty well, but big sister does annoy Emma at times. Lately we've been getting a little taste of the terrible 2's. She's started throwing those fun fits falling on the ground flopping around like a fish. For the most part she is sweet. I tried to get some pics of her tonight but she was in a mood.....as you can see. I'll try again later!

I will try to update on the girls more often! Maybe tomorrow I can catch Emma in a better mood.

December/Merry Christmas
Hello to my blogger friends. I've got lots of catching up to do starting from Christmas. My Camera has been on the fritz and I finally got it working.
We had a wonderful white Chritmas. It snowed here in GA. Rileigh was really into Santa Claus this year but was totally spoiled by Santa and both sets of Grandparents. Emma still was a little too young to understand but loved her new presents. Here are some pics from Christmas.
My siter in law and I took the girls to Lenox to see the Pink Pig. It was a first for all of us. The girls seemed to like it.

My sister Allison and I headed to Marietta for a pie baking class from my mom. She makes the most amazing homemade pies from her mother's receipe.

Here are some pics from Christmas Eve and Day

Christmas day it snowed! Our first white Christmas! Here we are when the fist snow flakes started to come down.

We are alive!
Sorry I've been a horrible blogger for the month of November! Since I work retail, this past month has been SOOO busy and stressful. But thank the good Lord, Black Friday is over.
I'm having trouble uploading pics to my computer again, so sorry there are no pics this time.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of yummy food, with both families. Scott's parents were in Maine so we did not get to spend time with them this year. Emma is FINALLY walking! She has won the award in the family for the longest time to walk. She just turned 18 months and is cuter than ever! Rileigh is really into the Christmas season this year. We brought out elf on the shelf and she named her elf "Peter". It's been really easy getting her to behave and eat her veggies at dinner. All I have to say is "Santa is watching you" and she straightens right up.
My sister in law, Missi and I took the girls to see the new Disney movie Tangled this week. Rileigh's first "real" movie and she loved it. Today we went to see Santa....and Emma was not so thrilled to see him! Which was to be expected. Rileigh and Ava talked his heads off.
Hopefully I'll be albe to get some pictures up soon. Happy December! Sorry for the randomness...but just a quick update.

Happy 3rd Birthday Rileigh
Rileigh turned 3 yesterday! Yes, 3....I can't get over my little girl is 3. It seriously seems like yesterday we were at the hospital. She is such a special girl! She keeps us laughing all the time. We had her party Sunday at a park in Dawsonville with friends and family. Rileigh loved all her presents and especially loved her cake!

Destin 2010
Last week we went to Destin, Florida with my parents and sister Allison. Scott was not able to go because of work. I had lots of good helpers with the kids, but we missed Daddy SO much. Rileigh loved the beach and would of stayed playing in the sand all day long. Emma...not so much. She would rather be at the pool lounging in her float. The weather was perfect and there were not many people down there. My definition of a perfect vacation!

Best Cousins and Sister forever
Emma is 15 months old
Today Emma is 15 months old! Still not walking, but talking like crazy. She loves to wear her shoes and hates when you take them off. She tries to keep up with her big sister and follows her everywhere. Emma does have a little attitude when she doesn't get what she wants. Here's Emma is dancing to me singing "this little light of mine" she is holding up her "light".

Update
Emma has been talking up a storm lately. She loves to say "back pack back pack" like Dora. She is pointing at everything, which can get annoying b/c it is usually followed by "egh" "egh" until she gets what she wants. She is still not walking, but letting go a little more. She moved up to the 1 yrs old class at daycare. It broke my heart when the teacher told me she napped on a mat instead of the crib. She's a big girl now.

Rileigh continues to be as girlie as ever! She saw this guitar purse and headband at the store she HAD to have! She asks me daily to paint her fingernails and is constantly asking for chap stick. She is Miss independent these days. She want to dress herself, put her shoes on and has to buckle her own seat belt. Each day is a new day with her, she always keep us laughing.

Not much is new with Scott and I. We just work, and spend a lot of time at the ball field watching Scott playing softball. We enjoy spending our free time as a family playing with our girls. Yes, Scott loves taking pictures....can you tell?
