Thank You Aunt "Ah" "Ah"

Thank you Aunt Ah Ah for the baby papasan chair that you gave us when Rileigh was born. Rileigh loved it so much and Emma seems to enjoy it too. She has been asleep in this chair for a couple hours now. Emma can't wait to meet you. P.S. Check out the spit up on her chin...opps didn't see that.

Emma Day 2

Everything is going really well. We went for a check up this morning and Emma is a little Jaundice. Let's pray this goes away. You can tell the whites of her eyes are a little yellow. Rileigh is doing really well with her. As you can see from the picture below Rileigh thinks she is the baby too!

Emma Caron Raftelis

For those of you who do not know Emma was born yesterday at 12:14 pm. She weighed 7lbs 11oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. I started having contractions late Tuesday night and we went to the hospital around 1:00 am. I had to walk the halls for 2 hrs to try to have a regular contraction pattern for them to admit me into Labor. Everything went really well until the very end when my epidural quit working and I felt everything! Needless to say it was worth every bit of pain and Emma is here! We are so blessed to have yet another beautiful healthy girl.

Rileigh loves her "ba be" sister Emma and so far is doing well. She is pretty fussy and needy but hopefully in a few weeks she will be adjusted to the new life of having another baby in the house.

Emma has been so good for us so far. She eats about every 3 hours and only cries when you change her diapers.(hopefully I am not jinxing us). They actually only kept us over night in the hospital and we came home today around 4:00. More update to follow.

Pig Tails and Nana

Today my mom "Nana" came up to visit Rileigh. We surprised her with a crazy hair do and silly bows! I tried to take them out but my mom thought they were cute! Rileigh loves her Nana and wishes she lived closer.

P.S. No baby update I go in the morning for my 37 week check up.

36 week update

Today I had my 36 week check up and wow were we surprised. I am 2 cm's dilated and 70% effaced. Miss Emma may be arriving into this world sooner than we thought. The doctor said he would not be surprised if she came within the next 10 days....WHAT 10DAYS???? Here I am thinking I have around 3 weeks and now a million things are going through my head that we need to get done. The nursery isn't even completely decorated. I was induced at 39 weeks with Rileigh so the thought of going into labor on my own scares the heck out of me. We'll keep you updated.

Jibber Jabber

As I was writing the post below...Rileigh was sitting on the floor below me enjoying my cook book. As many of you know she loves to talk. Quite frankly I think she just likes to hear her voice. I'm not quite sure what she was saying usually its jibber jabber with a few words in between. Pretty Funny!

Let's go swimming

Saturday Rileigh will be going to my parents house for the night. She may go swimming so we had to make sure her swim suit fit. What do you think? She's ready Papa, Nana and Aunt Ally.

19 months old

Rileigh turned 19 months old yesterday and she is crazy as ever. She is constantly making us laugh and saying new things each day. We have one more month to enjoy her by herself before Emma arrives. Lately she is obsessed with her Red car the we push her in. She now calls it "Beep Beep" and that's all we hear. She eats bananas in the morning for breakfast and all day long we here "Nanee Nanee"...we may need to find a new fruit she likes. Last week we were in a restaurant and some old bald man with a beard sat next to us. As we walked out I told her to tell him goodbye and she sat there for a minute and then said "HO HO HO"! How embarrassing I guess she thought he was Santa Claus. She now has learned the word "mine" which sometimes can be kinda funny when she shouts it. She loves to take baths runs to the tub and tries to lift her leg over the side no matter the time of day to get in. I could go on forever about how much I love this little girl. She is so fun and I am so proud to be her mom!
Walking in my shoes!

Making a crazy face in her "Beep Beep"

Enjoying her sucker...when I took it away she yelled "MINE"

Just plain cute..check out the belly

Call me Evil Knievel

Our Big Girl!

Over the past several weeks Scott and I have really realized that Rileigh is becoming such a big girl. She no longer is a baby and hasn't been for a while. In a few weeks when Emma gets here this will become even more of a reality for us, that Rileigh is growing up (insert tears here)!

Well neither one of us are big fans of her getting dirty/messy. But I know its past time for her to learn to eat with utensils on her own. I bought her these cool new bowls that suction cup to her tray and today she tried it out for the first time. Here she is eating yogurt from the bowl and spoon all by herself. I guess practice makes perfect...notice the amount on the bib not going in her mouth. She did pretty good.
