Big girl in her high chair

Rileigh is offically a big girl and can sit and eat in her high chair. I love her big smile....all gums! She is starting to laugh now. Before is was just a high pitched squeal, now she actually giggles at you. I love everything about this little girl. I can't wait to get home each day to give her a million kisses. She is changing so fast, before we know it she will be sitting up. Here are some pics of her in her high chair.

Baby Food

Well Rileigh is officially eating baby food now. We started with carrots and she hated them. She gagged, then spit them out. She loves sweet potatoes and squash. This week we get to try green veggies...yippee! Here are some pics from the first time she ate baby food. Kinda messy but we are getting better at it.

Rileigh is sick

Last night Rileigh was running a low grade temp. Luckily today we had her 4 month check up. She now weighs 13 lbs 9 oz and she is 25 1/4 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for weight, 80th for height and drum roll please....90th for her head. Her new nick name is "tater head". Tater heads run in the Raftelis family. Our niece has one too! I feel so bad for Rileigh. It's easy to tell when she is not feeling well b/c today she has not smiled once which is very unusal for her. She is very fussy too, which is very unusal as well. All she wants to do is sleep. You feel so helpless, I wish I could be sick for her. The good news is it is a viral infection and should go away on its own. The bad news is we have to go back on Tuesday for her shots.

First time eating rice cereal

Rileigh ate rice cereal for the first time Friday night. She loved it. The doctor said it would take her awhile to learn how to use her tongue and open her mouth. Little did he know she comes from a family of eaters. She absolutely loves it. I can't believe we are feeding her from a spoon already!
