Is it on straight?
This morning when I was feeding Emma, Rileigh was what I thought in her room. I was wrong. She came out from my bathroom and said "This is Nanas". Nana is my mom who lets Rileigh go through her makeup bag in her purse. Nana also uses clinique lip stick just like the one Rileigh is putting on!
So I went to go write this post and did not take the lipstick away thinking she would continue to put it on her lips......I was wrong yet again!

Tis the Season
It officially feels like Christmas at the Raftelis home! We've decorated the tree and brought out the winter coats and hats. It's gotten pretty cold here in Georgia. Rileigh of course had a blast decorating the tree. She seemed to of had more fun in the tissue paper that I store the ornaments in.
Here's my little twin all bundled up for the cold.
Tonight we went to a Photographer in Dahlonega for Santa pictures. Santa hid at first and Rileigh and Emma sat in front of the tree together smiling. I did not know the photographer had this planned but Santa snuck around the tree much to Rileigh's surprise. Rileigh just about jumped out of her tights over Emma's head into my arms she was so scared. She would not go anywhere near him, but would talk to him from afar. She told Santa "I want princess, I want "Ora" (Dora), I want "tatoe head" (potato head)! You know she was scared of him when she wouldn't even go up to him to get candy. Emma on the other hand sat on Santa's lap and grinned from ear to ear. Here is a sneak peak of the girls Christmas dresses.

6 months old and Thanksgiving
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving spending lunch with Scott's family and dinner with my family. Scott and I have so many things to be thankful for in our lives especially our family. Emma was not feeling well on Thanksgiving so I did not get any pics of her but here is Rileigh. At first she hated the boots but then she saw her cousin Ava wearing some and thought it was cool.
Emma turned 6 months the day after Thanksgiving! She is already 1/2 a year old. She can almost sit up on her own. She is full of smiles all the time but is starting to get a little spoiled. She now cries when she is put down or when we leave the room for something. Hopefully it's just a phase. We've got for her 6 months pics Thursday, can't wait to see how they turn out.

Visiting Adam!
I know the majority of you who read our blog know Adam Stead. Laine Wilson and I got the opportunity to fly to Tampa yesterday and visit with him for a couple of hours. I am in total Awe what a miracle that guys is. We stayed for about two hours most of the time talking about old times at NGCSU. He was laughing, smiling and being the Adam we know. Adam actually brought up things that Laine and I had totally forgotten about. He is still the "sarcastic" Adam we all know and is still really quick with his come backs. We also got to meet Cohen his sweet little boy and his beautiful wife Carrie. What an amazing person she is. Stronger that I would ever be. For all of you moms out there prepare for you chin to about to drop....after all of what Carrie has gone through in the last 2 months.....girlfriend is still nursing!! Wow, that in itself tells you what determination she has. I gave up after 6 weeks with no traumatic event in my life.
That all being said please continue to pray for Adam and his family. He has made great progress but still has a ways to go. Apparently he hates therapy, which does not surprise me. We all know how strong willed he is. I know the outcome of this is going to be so wonderful, but right know I can't imagine how hard it is.
It's so crazy how you know there is a war going on and you appreciate what these men and women are doing for us. It's sad it doesn't really hit home until something personally affects you. It blows my mind that people like Adam go over to fight a war for me and my family and come home injured and still want to go back and do it again. It takes a special women like Carrie to be willing to let her husband go fight in a war for our freedom. What an awesome day we had yesterday but it definitely gives me a different perspective on things. Our God is SO good, and what a testimony Adam Stead is going to have.

Da Da already?
The last few days Emma started saying "Da Da"! To me it's a little early Rileigh didn't say "Da Da" until she was 8 months old and Emma is 5 months. We may have another talker on our hands. I wonder where they get that from? Why do they always say Da Da first. Sorry the video is SO long, but Emma gets so excited in the beginning when Rileigh hugs her. Towards the end she starts saying Da Da a bunch.
